In addition to our costs there are expenses paid out on behalf of the client. These include such items as fees payable to the crematorium, cemetery, church, clergy and doctors, floral tributes, catering, and newspaper notices. The cost of these will be approximately £1,362.00 depending on what you choose. 

Third-Party Fees: Priest: £200.00 - £220.00, Minister: £200.00 - £220.00, Humanist/celebrant: £200.00 - £220.00, Doctor’s fee (Cremation only - completion of medical certificates) £82.00, Flowers: From £95.00, Newspaper notices: Depending on the publication notices range from £200.00, Order of service: Twenty x 4-page colour cover with black and white inside pages: From £80.00, Direct Cremation Direct cremation is for those who would prefer s straightforward funeral. It is different to a traditional funeral as there is no funeral service and you will not be able to attend the crematorium. Direct cremation costs £1,850.00 including the cremation fee.

What’s included:

• Removal of the deceased into our care within a 10-mile radius including care and preparation.

• Completion and delivery of all necessary documentation.

• A simple wood effect coffin.

• Conveyance to the crematorium in a hearse.

• Ashes to go into the crematorium Gardens of Rest or returned to our office for you to collect.

What’s Not included:

• Visiting the person in our Chapel of Rest.

• Choice of when the cremation will take place.

• Mourners are not able to attend the crematorium.

Simple Funeral:

Our simple funeral provides a quality service at a fair cost with the comfort of knowing that we will provide our usual professional levels of care and service.

There will however be no choice of day and time of the funeral service taking place. The cost of the Simple Funeral is £1,600 plus disbursements.

What’s included:

• Provision of all professional services including advice, support and guidance, arrangements made by telephone during normal office hours.

• Removal of the deceased into our care within a 10-mile radius including care and preparation.

• Provision of a simple wood effect coffin fully lined and fitted for cremation.

• Transport to the cemetery/crematorium in a hearse with bearers.

• Hearse to meet family at the cemetery/crematorium.

• Service at the graveside or in the crematorium.

• Collection and return of cremated remains if required. The above cost does not include hygienic treatment.

(Funeral director’s charges only) £2,760

This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation.

Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements £1,050.00

Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 20 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care £350.00

Care of the deceased person before the funeral in appropriate facilities. The deceased person will be kept at [both] the funeral director’s: [branch premises] [and at other] [non-branch premises] £350.00

No fee

At a date and time you agree with the funeral director, taking the deceased person direct to the agreed cemetery or crematorium (normally within 20 miles of the funeral director’s premises) in a hearse or other appropriate vehicle. £475.00

This is a funeral where family and friends may choose to have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person, but they do not attend the burial or cremation itself.

Burial (funeral director’s charges only) (1) £1,400.00

Cremation (funeral director’s charges plus the cremation fee) (2) £1,400.00

For an Attended or Unattended burial funeral, the burial fee. (1)

In this local area, the typical cost of the burial fee for local residents is: £980.00 -£1,300.00

For a new grave, you will also need to pay for the plot; for an existing grave with a memorial in place, you may need to pay a removal/replacement fee. In addition, the cemetery may charge a number of other fees. From £980.00

For an Attended cremation funeral, the cremation fee. (2) £950.00-£1,400.00
